Artist Statement

My art is an exploration of texture, color and dimension, for which I use the infinite possibilities of hand knitting, with fulling, to create sculptural forms.  I have added the knitting of wire to expand add to my medium.

These works may reflect a mood, an emotion, an idea or societal condition.  Fiber is a wonderfully dynamic medium.  Free from any notion of patterns but armed with a lifetime of technique, I let the work evolve as it will.
